The Briefly History of Its standing up of Orthodox Center Surabaya Foundation

The idea to establish The Orthodox Center SurabayaFoundation in Surabaya was was coming up on October 15, 2008. This happen because we want to answer the question of  many  people who want to know the existence of The Orthodox Church that is in the jurisdiction of Constantinople in Indonesia especially in Surabaya. The Personalities who had the idea to establish this Orthodox Center Surabaya is Fr. Yohanes Bambang Cahyo Wicaksono as a priest of St. Nikolaos Orthodox Church in Surabaya, Mr. Ir Stefanus Hendra, Mr. Drs. Matheus Hartoyo Soemitro, B.Th, Mr. dr. Michael Hernadi Hemanus, Mr. By Standing and its appearing up this Orthodox Center Surabaya or abbreviated "YOCS" , whoever who want to know the teaching of The Apostolic Church and further information about it, able to get easily and accurate, by that will not happen misunderstanding information of the existence of The Orthodox Church that is under Jurisdiction of Constantinopel in Indonesia.

The Vision of The Orthodox Center Surabaya Foundation :

To Support the education program of The Indonesia Government namely to make smarter of the Indonesian Nation and social program in relationship with reducing of the poor burden and this foundation is as the center of The Indonesian Orthodox Church activities that is under Constantinople

The Mission of The Orthodox Center Surabaya Foundation :

1. To Establish the general education center namely : Play group, Kindergarten, Elementary School, Junior High School, High School and University in short, middle and long term.
2. Religious Education Center : Seminary in the middle and long term.
3. Establishing Philanthropy field ( Social action).
